About Us
During the COVID Pandemic, founder of The Banded Retrieve, B Staten, purchased a black labrador named Pastor. With passion and drive to create, B saw an opening in the duck dog branding market for true, home-grown content. The passion expanded as Ryan Parks, B's life-long friend joined the team and took partial ownership of The Banded Retrieve. Since then, a podcast has been created, and tons of new products have hit the store.
Being from a small town in West Virginia, we know that quality matters, but we also know that a personal touch goes a long way. Everyone has a story, what's yours?
B Staten
Originally from West Virginia, B and his wife, Rachel, moved to Christiansburg VA when they got married in 2018. B is a full-time Project Manager and Rachel is a full-time NICU nurse. Both are passionate about serving others as well as the dog collars and leads industry. B and Rachel are the owners of 'Pastor'.
Ryan Parks
Ryan lives in South West Virginia with his wife, Crystal and three sons, Eli, Jax, and Trey. Ryan is the Executive Pastor at Lifeline Church and Crystal is the Director of Nursing at an assisted living facility. Ryan’s passion is faith, family and leaving a legacy for those he comes into contact with. His love for people and the outdoors is evident. Ryan is the owner of the Duck Coffin Boat (aka) The Lena Bell.
